No these are for the 3rd gen cars, there are some for the 2g cars that you might find on eBay, but haven't seen them in a while.
I got my strut brace for my 08 for like $20 when they first became available...came in a mopar box and all...

I had an issue recently and found it to be a stuck brake pad on the back side of the left front rotor...put a new set of pads on and hit the tail of the dragon the next day...home a week and still smooth...

Had to replace the one in Jen's car when she got it...easy process if you need to do that, as you already found out...if you want to test it just put some cd's for you computer in there...that way you won't mess up any prerecorded CD's :roll:

If you don't have one from the factory, you need to buy a lock pick which is an electronic device that plugs into your RER that will give it more features...I have one, and it works!
