Since my last repair I replaced the TPS and the IAC. It started great but the idle varied to the point where it affected the shifting through the gears. I then reinstalled the original TPS and IAC and now it idles at almost 2000 RPM. The code on the scanner is 1294...idle problem. Something tells me I am not properly "indexing" the TPS and that could be my problem??? Anyone out there have a similar problem??? Don :steering:

Check for vacuum leak or pinched throttle cable.

I am checking everything for sure, especially vacuum leaks. So, I went to bed last night with it idling at about 1800 rpm. This morning I started it up and it went right to the correct idle...first tick below the 1000 rpm line. I drove it around for an hour and it was perfect. No problem at stop lights and such. It is running as good as new...for now at least! Maybe it has a "learning phase" regarding the computer??? Mystified! Don :redvert:
