The owners manual suggests the use of dish soap(?) to clean the convertible top, and also discourages the use of automatic drive-thru car washes. I don't use the drive-thru car wash, too scarey for my Sebring, I prefer to drag out the bucket and hose in the back yard. I was told the best way to prolong the life of the convertible cloth top is to keep it clean. I'm new to this convertible thing (it's my first), so guys, what's the best procedure to wash it and the best product for the job? :?:

I use a fabric detergent for delicate fabric, being sure to rinse with lots of water. Every 6 months, I apply the 303 Fabric Convertible Top Kit available at:

http://www.properautocare.com/303fabcontop.html

Water beads on the top just like it has been waxed! My top is original [1998] and in excellent condition.

Can you still get the 303 for cloth? Heard it was discontinued. I use the vinyl 303 and it's great. I hear Dawn is the best to use to clean it.
