Bad news for me. Dealership determined my bank 2 catalytic convertor is bad and the cost for repair is around $1100+. What happens if I don't repair that. Further damage? Where would you suggest going for a lower cost to repair. I do not work on my own car. Thanks in advance for your input.

Well, I bought mine (I think at Rock Auto) and found a place that installed it for me (they’re out there, just getting hard to find). It was WAY less than $1100. If the converter is bad, it needs replaced, or the costs will eventually be far higher. Don’t know where you are, but you’ll need to poke around to find a garage that will do the work; don’t buy the converter before locating one, though.

You will have to replace it or things will get much worse for you.

You might want to check a salvage yard. with the number of low miles cars that ended up in those places you might get a good cat for little money.

I don't know, at my yard they cut out all the cats. Of course I didn't ask if they resell them or recycle them.

Gen 2 converters are a bit more than $200 at RA, and I think the guy that installed mine charged $100 or so, but it was a while back, so don’t quote me.
